Here is the first time we have had any winter weather. It was below freezing a couple of nights and rained most of the time we were there. So we were able to enjoy some family game night fun!
We enjoyed our first time Geocaching, you can read more about that in my previous post.
The campground that we stayed at was Sandy Creek Park. It was a decent state park, operated by the Corps of Engineers. This was the first time we ran into a shower house that we could not use, though! It was not very well maintained and you had to use a push button to turn on the water. The park in located right on B.A. Steinhagen Lake, which appears to be mostly a fishing lake. The area is know for having alligators.
The kids, of course, meet some new friends to play with. I swear they spent 2 whole (cold) days on the play ground!
The kiddos were excited to earn their Texas State Park Jr Ranger badges while we were here also!
