The Rig, our Home.

We purchased our 2017 Surveyor 32BHDS in May of 2016.  At that point, we had not even heard of Fulltime RVing, except for retirees.  But we chose very well!  This Travel Trailer is basically everything we need for living in it Fulltime.  It has 2 slides, one in the main area that holds the table and couch.  The other is in the bunk house, that makes for a great play space for the kids (which is a must for rainy days!).  It has an outside kitchen, which means more fridge space (yepee)!  There are 2 things that we would change if we could- we would love a king size bed, and the bath tub/shower is small (was ok for weekend camping but everyday a corner shower would be great).

We pull everything with our 2015 Ram 2500 Cummins.  We purchased it after being on the road for about 3 months.  We had a gasser in the same year, but it just was not enough to handle the extra weight of Fulltiming.  It was also going to make us go broke by paying for gas!!

This Winter

Hello All Its been a bit since I have posted anything on here.  It's because we haven't been doing too many exciting things!  Our main focus has been hiding from the cold weather.  We have been pretty successful so far (fingers crossed it continues).  We have until the middle of March here in Texas before we head back home for a few weeks (spending time between KS and MO).  We are hoping all the crazy winter weather is gone by then. So what have we been up to and where have we been??  We have been in Southern Texas.  We have been about an hour to an hour and a half from San Antonio and Corpus Christi, in a small oil town.  Derek has been working for a oil pipeline company as a Gate Guard, which means he was working 10-12 hours a day.  So the kids and I got to hang out around the camper and the camp ground all day.  We got very lucky to find a great camp ground where we have met some really good people!  The camp ground Owners are...

Conroe TX

November 2018 Conroe Tx was our first stop, that we spent an extended amount of time at, that was not out in the middle of nowhere!  We were about an hour from Downtown Houston.  We ventured into Houston a couple of times to enjoy some of the more common attractions, but spent most of 2 weeks at the campgound hanging out and meeting some new friends!

November 2018 Here is the first time we have had any winter weather.  It was below freezing a couple of nights and rained most of the time we were there.  So we were able to enjoy some family game night fun!
